Feature Requests: Multiple Scenarios per Test Case / Excecution

It would be a nice enhancement have support for multiple scenarios for one test case / test execution.

So you would have something like this

Test case XX
Scenarios: a, b,...,n.
Step 1
Expected result for Scenario a
Expected result for Scenario b
.
.
.
Expected result for Scenario n

Hi Miguel,

thanks a lot for your input.

if I understood you correctly you are suggesting to combine 'similar' test cases into a single one, like e.g. different execution paths of a use case. Is this assumption correct?

Are you expecting the tester to select one scenario from a choice of scenarios in a single test run?

If possible, please provide some more input on your concept here, especially on what you expect to gain from encoding different scenarios in a single test case.

Best regards,

Torsten

Hi Torsten:

Yes, the idea is to have related to one "master test case" many others with little differences. For example when you need to test something but for user with different permissions. The test cases is basically the same for all the permissions but the expected results may differ for each other. i.e Admins may delete things, but normal users don't so the steps would be the same for both, but the expected results don't

That the tester choice a scenario in a test run sounds good.
