How is Klaros-Testmanagement licensed?
The Community Edition can be used free of charge, even for commercial purposes. A license for the commercial Enterprise Edition consists of licenses for a fixed number of active users for a single server installation (on premises).
Klaros-Testmanagement is also available as cloud-based service available (on demand), which is also licensed per user. For both models, a minimum of three licensed users is considered.
How are users counted towards licenses?
A licensed user is by definition any activated user account with the permission to log in to the application. The number of activated users must not exceed the number of licensed users. It does not matter if a user is currently logged in or not. This means that more users can be created in the system than the number of licensed users, but the surplus users must not be activated.
What does Klaros-Testmanagement cost?
The Community Edition is available free of charge. The price for a server installation, the Enterprise Edition starts at 1280,- € and includes licenses for 3 users. One year of support and all new versions released during this time are included.
The smallest cloud variant also comes with licenses for 3 users, starting at 90,- € per month. Licenses for additional users can be purchased at any time.

How can I evaluate Klaros-Testmanagement?
We offer the following options for obligation free testing:
- Our Online Demo: The default credentials are admin/admin. Activate the sample project "Finance Tracker" or create your own projects.
- Installation on your server: Download the Community Edition for Windows or Linux: Download. To unlock the Enterprise features, please request a 30-day valid license key via web form at Trial. We require a valid e-mail address from you to which the trial license should be sent.
- Testing in your own cloud instance: Please contact us at support@verit.de. We will usually create a personal instance for you within one business day.

Can I easily switch from the Community Edition to the Enterprise Edition?
Yes, an existing installation of the Community Edition can be upgraded to the Enterprise Edition at any time by importing the license key. Existing data is retained and you can continue to work seamlessly.
Is Klaros Test Management also available as a cloud-based service?
Yes, you can also use Klaros-Testmanagement as a Cloud/On-Demand service. The usage period can be monthly or yearly at a discount.
How long do you need to set up the service? What is the degree of availability?
We usually need one working day for setup and guarantee an availability of 99.5% annual average.
How is data privacy ensured in the cloud service?
We run the software on European servers of Amazon Web Services, which are subject to the legislation of the EU regarding data security.
Information about the security policies applied can be found at Amazon. We ensure that these servers are only accessible via encrypted interfaces (HTTPS/SSL).
The number of testers used varies depending on the period of development. Can I change the number of users?
Yes, you can always purchase additional user licenses. The reduction of licenses is possible at any time with a notice period of 4 weeks before the end of the booked usage period (month or year)..
I want to change the server Klaros-Testmanagement is installed on. What will happen to my license?
Please send us an e-mail containing the new server id. You will find this id in Klaros-Testmanagement on the Overview page in the Configure section. You will receive a matiching license key no later than the next business day. Your old license key loses its validity.
Order, Payment, Delivery
How can I order Klaros-Testmanagement Enterprise Edition ?
You can order by email or fax. In each case, we need the following information:
- Your full name or the name of the contact person to whom the license is to be delivered
- The name of your company
- The billing address of your company
- For orders from EU countries, the VAT identification number
- The type of license (server license or cloud)
- If installed on your server, the ID of the server in question
- The number of licenses you would like to purchase
- The e-mail address(es) to which we should send the invoice and/or the license file
What happens after my order?
Within one business day we will send you a PDF document via e-mail containing your order confirmation and invoice. In addition you will receive the software maintenance contract and the software license contract as well as a temporary 30 day license key by request, in order to start using the software.
When will I receive my permanent license key?
After we receive the payment we will send you the license key for the server ID you have provided to us.
How can I pay?
The invoice you receive from us is due upon receipt. As payment methods we accept Amazon Pay, Euro bank transfers and international money orders.
Which currencies do you accept?
Currently we only accept payments in Euro. Please contact us at sales@verit.de if this is an issue for you.
Is it possible to pay via credit card?
If you are an Amazon customer you may issue payments via Amazon Pay using you attached payment instruments like credit cards etc. In other cases, payment is only possible through bank transfers and international money orders.

Is there support for the Klaros-Testmanagement Community Edition?
In general, we do not provide support for the Community Edition free of charge. However, we watch our community forum quite closely, so you are welcome to post your questions there. If you are in need of further assistance, please contact us for a quote.
What support is available for the Enterprise Edition and what does it cost?
A software support contract for the first year is included in the purchase price of Klaros-Testmanagement Enterprise Edition. It includes timely support via email, phone, web meeting (by appointment) and forum. All updates and upgrades to new versions are free of charge during this period.
How long does the maintenance contract last and what happens afterwards?
The Enterprise Edition licenses include a maintenance contract, valid for one year from order date. If the maintenance contract is not cancelled at least six weeks before expiration, it is automatically extended by another year.
What happens if I suspend the maintenance contract?
If you no longer want support and updates, you can cancel the maintenance contract at least 6 weeks before expiration. You can continue to work with Klaros-Testmanagement, but you can no longer install any updates that were released after the expiration date.
How can I resume the maintenance contract?
You can resume the maintenance contract at any time. The extension always starts at the expiry date of the previous maintenance contract, no matter when the extension of the maintenance contract is resumed. Alternatively, a new license for Klaros Test Management Enterprise Edition can be purchased.

Typically 2-3 new feature releases will appear per year, which are supplemented by service releases at irregular intervals as needed.

Do we need training in Klaros-Testmanagement?
Klaros-Testmanagement requires basic understanding of the areas of software quality assurance and test management. A context-sensitive user guide is integrated into the application. We also provide a tutorial and a quickstart guide for download on our website.

What are the minimum requirements in order to run Klaros-Testmanagement?
Klaros-Testmanagement requires the following environment at minimum:
- Microsoft Windows 7 (64 bit), Microsoft Windows 8/8.1 (64 bit), Microsoft Windows 10 (64 bit), Microsoft Windows 11 (64 bit) as well as Microsoft Windows Server 2012/2016/2019/2022 (64 bit) or
- Linux IA32 (Intel 32 bit architecture) or Intel 64/EM64T (Intel 64 bit architecture) distributions
- Minimum Hardware Requirements: Single Core CPU 2.5 GHz, 4GB RAM, 20 GB free disk space
