Sometimes different test cases use the same test data. A separation of test data from test cases allows test cases to use common test data.

We will support the storing of arbitrary binary data a project workspace in the future versions of the Enterprise Edition. This will include versioning and arbitrary categorization.
I hope this is what you are asking for, can you give an example on what kind of test data you would like to share across test cases?
