Problem creating Issue using Klaros to BugZilla - NullPointerException

Hi there.
I have tried to integrate BugZilla with Klaros and apparently it worked. (it can be validated, credentials work, field values are parsed from BugZilla).

However, whenever I am trying to create a issue, it is showing this error-

Unable to save the issue: java.lang.NullPointerException




Can anyone tell me what I am supposed to do?

Hi Amit,

welcome to our community. Can you please send us the log file "catalina.out" from the "logs" folder within your Klaros installation (<INSTALL PATH>/logs)?

What versions of Klaros and Bugzilla are you currently using?

Hi ToBias.

Thank you for the quick response.

Here is the catalina log file. I didn't find a file specifically named as catalina.out though.

My BugZilla is version 4.0.2

Klaros is Community edition, the version is 4.23 I think ( I viewed it from the installer properties).


Additionally, I am using IIS 7, Windows 64 bit, and Active Perl version ActivePerl-5.12.4.1205 64bit.

Hello,

thank you for the log file. Can you please send us the Klaros version again? You can find the version of your installation in the lower right corner of Klaros-Testmanagement (for example on the login screen).

We will try to reproduce this error and will give you a note as soon as we know something new.

My bad, I mistakenly provided the installer version.

Is there anything else I can provide to help you find out the source of this error?

Klaros is currently the best choice I have for test management integrated with BugZilla, and I am eager to have the solution as soon as possible.

Hello,

We are working on this issue with high pressure. It would be great if you could also send us the other log files from the "logs" folder of your Klaros installation. (Just zip the whole folder).

This issue has been tracked as: KLAROS-1411 - Unable to create issues in Bugzilla 4.x

It has been fixed towards version 3.4.6 which will be released next week.

Amit,

we still have a nasty issue regarding Trac authentication open for this release, which we were not yet able to resolve in a satisfying manner.

This is hopefully done on Monday.
