JIRA RPC Plugin

Hello everyone,
I'm in the middle of the process of choosing Test Management tool for our company. Klaros is one of possible choices, but there is an issue of RPC Plugin. As far as I know, it's still supported in Jira 6.0 (which we use) but that particular plugin is already deprecated. In one of the following Jira versions they will give up upon it. Do you consider providing klaros with another way of communication with Jira?
Thanks in advance for your answer.
Kinda Regards,
Mateusz

Hi Mateusz,
We are aware of the JIRA situation, currently we try to keep as many versions supported as possible so we still prefer the RPC interface.
Using the REST based interface introduced in JIRA 5.2 will cut off support for older versions (and yes, there are still people out there happily using Jira 3.x).
We are currently looking for a way to offer support for both interfaces (JIRA-RPC vs JIRA-REST) but there is no easy way to implement this since both versions of the JIRA connector are using the same package locations.
Please rest assured that we will definitely support the JIRA REST interface in future releases, especially at the time where RPC is no longer supported.
Kind regards,
Torsten

Thank you for your quick reply, Torsten. One more question though - do you have any Klaros roadmap available for your customers?

Mateusz
