If Klaros-Testmanagement is already installed it is possible to update it to a newer version. The installer will update all files automatically. Further information of the installation process can be found in section Section 3.2, “Installation Process” . The Klaros-Testmanagement home folder remains untouched, so all settings, database connections and the content repository will not be not affected by the update process.

	Important
	Klaros-Testmanagement must be stopped before starting the update. Otherwise the installation process cannot be finished successfully.

	Note
	Please create a backup of your database before starting the Klaros-Testmanagement update process.

3.4.1. Database Migration

3.4.1.1. Migration of installations prior version 3.0

After updating Klaros-Testmanagement to a newer version it is possible that a database migration will be necessary. If so, Klaros-Testmanagement will show the following screen on startup. To start the migration an administrator account is needed. Figure 3.13

In order to update Klaros-Testmanagement to version 3.0.0 or above it is mandatory to upgrade the installation to Klaros-Testmanagement 2.6.2 before attempting any further upgrade.
