I am unable to start the service

I have downloaded and installed Klaros with all the default settings as mentioned in the usemanual. But when it opens the service for the first time - http://localhost:18080/klaros-web/ - it says page cannot be found.

Can someone help me with the installtion

Hi Natarajan Krishnamurthy,

welcome to the Klaros-Testmanagement community!

There are a number of possible causes for this error. Some important things to check:

  • Is an Oracle Java 6 JVM (Java Virtual Machine) installed (OpenJDK is not officially supported by Klaros)?
  • Is the JAVA_HOME or JRE_HOME envirnoment variable set?


More information on these issues can be found in the installation section of the documentation here.

If neither of these are the problem, I will need some more information to help you:

  • Which operating system are you running?
  • Which Java version?


If you could email the following data to support@verit.de it would also help greatly:

  • The catalina log file (catalina.out in the logs folder of the Klaros install)
  • If running windows, the output of the server startup window
