Hello klaros team,

I was wondering if it is possible to link directly into klaros Testcases from other web applications? For example directly out of a Redmine issue.

Hello Robert,

this is not yet supported. I opened feature request KLAROS-898 (Implement permalinks to test artifacts) for this. Implementing something similar is a prerequisite for implementing KLAROS-755 (Allow a quick access to test artifacts by entering the id) anyway which is currently scheduled for the 3.1 release.

I am still unsure if this should be accessible for unauthorized users, though.

Thanks for your reply. I hope version 3.1 will be out soon.. ;-)

Access to registered users only imho. Or make an option to configure that ;-)

Yes, this has been implemented since version 3.1, but is a little bit hard to find:

Look for the bookmark icons on various result pages and copy the URL from the browser via the right click menu (Copy Link Location).
Likewise you may link to test suites, test runs and test results. From there you can open the details panel and navigate to the test case definition via the id link. e.g.: this URL

You must use the right click menu here as the url is resolved automatically if you just click on the icon.

The alternative to this is using the print preview page for linking to the test case, these are bookmarkable directly from the browser url, e.g.: this URL

Print pages are a feature of the Enterprise Edition.

This will only work if your project has not been secured, in that case credentials will be requested to access these pages.

i use the version 3.7.3
but i dont see this icon. only the print icon is visible.

can you help me?

Hi Dirk,

it seems we have a bit of confusion on our end!

All results may be linked to, but not the test cases themselves. However, the details of the test case may be viewed by clicking on "Test Case Details" on this page (see the link in Torsten's post).

Linking directly to the test case details page is not possible at this time, but this test case details page contains a link within the application to the corresponding test case. Users will be asked to log in after clicking this link if they have not yet done so.

Hi Dirk,

I have created the feature request KLAROS-1815 (Allow direct linking to test cases from outside the application) to track this, but I cannot say for certain when it might be implemented.
