Unable to import backup

Youngling Post: 1 Join Date: 11/4/14 Recent Posts
Hi,

I have installed Klaros on my computer and created a number of test cases. Now, I'm trying import the backup into a Klaros test system. However, I get the following

Version 4.9
(Not compatible with the current database version
Created by XXX on 11/4/2014 at 11:00 PM"

Any suggestions is appreciated!

Thanks.

Hi Ramesh,

each backup file is relying on a certain database revision (revision 4.9 in your case) and is incremented with any changes to the database model introduced in a new version of Klaros-Testmanagement.

To ensure data consistency you may only import backups using a compatible version of Klaros-Testmanagement (version 4.2.2 in your case).

You may download the older release at the following URL: http://www.klaros-testmanagement.com/files/4.2.2/Klaros-Setup.exe (Windows) or http://www.klaros-testmanagement.com/files/4.2.2/Klaros-Setup.jar (Linux). We offer every released version for download using the above URL-pattern.

To import an outdated backup on a newer version you may try the following approach:

  • Install the compatible version (possibly on a third machine or user account)
  • Import your backup
  • Update the installation to the desired version
  • Export the desired project in the correct database revision

Please let me know if this worked for you.

Kind regards,

Torsten
