Change FW version

Hi,

We are using Klaros and we need to know if it is possible to change the SUT while a Job is executed.

In the Job, the Tester has to execute a Test Suite.

Is it possible to execute the first TC with SUT1, the second TC with SUT2, etc. without to assign as a Job each TC individually and only to use the option <Continue Test Run>.??

Thanks for your answer.

Hello Angel,

No, this is not possible to do in Klaros-Testmanagement. Our concept of a test suite execution includes a static system under test and test environment.

Something similar to what you wish may be available in a future version of Klaros-Testmanagement however. KLAROS-1673 (Support the combined execution of multiple jobs) would allow the execution of a "parent job" by making a job execution queue in the manual test runner. Would this be of interest to you?

Hi Patrick,

Yes we are interested in that feature. Actually our situation is this:

We have a SUT1 and assign to execute Test Suites as a Job. The time to complete this activity is about 1 week, but sometimes there is a new release (new SUT) before the week and we have to test with new release.

For that reason, we would like to assign the Test Suites and when we are going to execute each Test Case inside the Test Suite, we chose the SUT.

What do you recommended us?.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Angel,

The "Jobs from Test Suites" feature in the Plan section should help with this. It allows you to generate either one job for a test suite execution or a parent job for the test suite with sub-jobs for each individual test case. The execution parameters (due by date, SUT, etc.) may then be specified for each individual test case.

Patrick
