We are pleased to announce the release of Klaros-Testmanagement version 4.5.5.

This is a minor release that fixes a regression bug introduced with version 4.5.4 that prevents updating jobs. The 4.5.x release includes 5 new features as well as 74 bugfixes and improvements over 4.4.x.

Some of the highlights are:

Dependency Criteria for Jobs

It is now possible to define dependencies between jobs in Klaros-Testmanagement, allowing to specify under which conditions a test is allowed to be executed.

Restricted Job Status Manipulation

A new option restricts the ability to change the status of a job to managers (and administrators) only.

Reference Test Data in Binary Attachments

Another major feature is the support for specifying test data outside of a test specification which is resolved at runtime for custom parameters and attached Excel sheets.

More E-Mail Notifications

E-Mail notifications can now be sent if a test execution fails or if a job dependency has been resolved.

Assign Jobs to Iterations

Jobs can now be assigned to iterations.

We are pleased to announce the release of Klaros-Testmanagement version 4.4.3.

This is a hotfix release that adresses a performance problem introduced in release 4.4.3.

The 4.4.x release of Klaros-Testmanagement focuses on issue management system and requirements management system integration and includes more than 8 new features and over 29 improvements and bugfixes over 4.3.x. Changes include:

  • Synchronization of requirements from remote requirements management systems (RMS) is now possible. Instead of duplicating existing requirement definitions by hand, you can now synchronize with an external JIRA 4.3 project (or newer). Custom JIRA-fields are supported as well as file attachments.

  • Besides Jira, Mantis, Bugzilla and Redmine, the integrated Issue Tracker of GitHub is now also supported for remote issue tracking.

  • The Enterprise Edition of Klaros-Testmanagement now ships with a RESTful API that enables developers and users to read data from Klaros using a REST client.

  • Customizable Reports for Issues and Jobs

  • GoogleTest, TESSY, JsUnit, JBehave, gtester and embUnit join our constantly expanded list of test result formats.

  • From JIRA 7.0 onwards (resp. 6.0 when using Atlassian Cloud), two of JIRAs remote APIs (XML-RPC and SOAP) are being turned off. To be still compatible, Klaros-Testmanagement now supports JIRAs REST-API.

  • You can now filter for testcase-categories and testsuite-categories while you're creating jobs from testcases or testsuites.

  • It is now possible to show user defined property values during manual test execution! For example, if you write %sut:build-number% in the description of the test case, it will show the build number of the system under test the executing user is testing on instead.

We are pleased to announce the release of Klaros-Testmanagement version 4.3.11.

This is a maintenance release that fixes a bug preventing the execution of manual test suites and contains various minor improvements.

The 4.3.x release of Klaros-Testmanagement includes more than 15 new features and over 115 improvements and bugfixes over 4.2.x. Changes include:

  • Renaming of uploaded attachments is now possible.

  • The import of TestComplete 9+ test result files is now supported.

  • During test execution it is now possible to create review jobs and to assign them to the creator of the executed test artifact.

  • In order to prevent concurrent editing of test results, a warning message is now displayed whenever a user tries to continue a test run that is currently being executed by another user.

  • Administrators can now restore configured issue management systems which have previously been deleted.

  • If a test case gets automatically skipped during test execution because it is set to "Skip", an explanation is noted in the pertaining test result.

  • The number of test case results, test suite results and test runs are now shown in the results tab of each object.

  • Detailed descriptions of the test environment and system under test are shown upon test execution launch.

  • When reopening a job, the progress rate and success rate of this job and its sub jobs are reset to 0%.

  • Oracle 12 is now in our list of supported database systems.

  • Upon test execution launch you can now look at attachments that are attached to test cases, test suites, test environments and systems under test.

  • The new overview pages show pre-configured reports and statistics in order to see the current test progress at a glance.

  • We've added a new job type "Review", which allows you to schedule reviews of test cases or requirements and specify arbitrary tasks in a textual form.

  • The new "guest" role adds an additional layer of security to your test data. Guests can only have a look at test definitions and results, but are not allowed to edit them in any way.

  • Our improved issue integration eases the linking of issues to your favourite issue management system.

Once issues are linked to Klaros-Testmanagement, a background synchronization service keeps track of any changes and transfers them to Klaros-Testmanagement.

  • In addition to the above, you can now add detailed information about issues to your custom reports.

  • We added the new job type "Review", which allows you to schedule reviews of test cases or test suites and specify arbitrary tasks in a textual form.

  • Klaros-Testmanagement now officially supports Bugzilla 4.5 and Redmine 3.0!

  • CUnit, xUnit.net and ctest (CMake) result files have been added to our growing list of supported test result formats.

  • Jobs can now also be enriched with attachments and custom fields. Also, the management of comments and the work log has been streamlined.

  • Klaros-Testmanagement now supports the synchronization of requirements from external systems, so there is no need to manually adapt them anymore.

  • In addition to the existing E-Mail notifications you can now configure the notification schemes and define what event causes them to be sent out.

  • An updated version of the Jenkins-plugin is now available.

  • User defined fields now support multi-line text areas.

  • Test cases and test suites now link to all executed jobs which covered them.

  • The underlying Tomcat application server has been updated to version 8.0 to benefit from the latest improvements.
